The iconic DMC side air intakes for the first-generation Murcielago 580, LP640, and LP670 SV. DMC products are certified by TÜV, the German government-approved body for automotive safety standards.

The Murciélago are magnificent cars, but from afar, their softer curves compared to the Diablo can give them a somewhat tame appearance. Our new range of aerodynamic accessories aims to address this. Side air intakes are one of the simplest ways to add a sportier and more aggressive touch to your vehicle. The DMC SV side air intakes fit easily onto the 580, LP640, and LP670 chassis without altering the entire side bumper. They are compatible with all classic Murciélagos, except the Roadster.

The DMV SV side scoops are made from lightweight and durable carbon fibre, produced by vacuum infusion, giving them great strength and a flawless finish. Once the piece is produced and removed from the mould, it is carefully inspected and tested before being varnished. Each piece is then checked and its tolerances verified before being hand and machine polished, then waxed and protected with high carnauba wax content products.

Installation:

The side air intakes require removal of the original side wings. They are replaced by a new DMC version. You can choose to leave them movable or fixed. Although the installation is relatively simple, we always recommend using a qualified professional. We estimate the installation time to be about 60 minutes, including preparation.

Gel Coat:

DMC products come with a free glossy or matte finish on all carbon fibre items. Please indicate your choice when ordering. If none is specified, we will apply a glossy base coat. However, we recommend adding an extra layer to suit your country’s requirements for UV protection and climate, as these vary worldwide. We also advise waxing, polishing, and waterproofing the item, even though we already apply a high-quality carnauba wax base coat. This extra protection is especially useful in regions with high humidity or heavy rainfall.
