Iconic front hood by DMC for McLaren 720S and 765LT certified by TÜV, the German government-approved body for vehicle safety standards.

This part is made entirely of carbon fibre and features a double wall for greater strength.

The carbon fibre hood offers several main advantages:

• Weight saving – carbon is significantly lighter than aluminium while remaining very strong.
• The main air intakes help cool and lower the temperature of the engine bay, which in itself improves performance through cooler intake temperatures and contributes to lower operating temperatures.
• And of course, it looks absolutely stunning from every angle! It is the closest thing to a full racing car look.

For fitting, we recommend using a bodywork specialist experienced in hood installation. The fit is generally excellent, but some minor adjustments may be needed, especially around the hinges and mounts. Full installation can be completed in under an hour.

Gel Coat:

DMC products come with a free glossy or matte finish on all carbon fibre items. Please specify your choice when ordering. If none is given, we will apply a glossy base coat. However, we recommend adding an extra layer to suit your country’s UV protection and climate requirements, as these vary worldwide. We also advise waxing, polishing, and waterproofing the item, even though we already apply a base layer of high-quality carnauba wax. This extra protection is especially useful in damp or rainy regions.
