The iconic DMC front hood for the Huracan, STO style, is made of forged carbon fibre. DMC products are certified by TÜV, the German government-approved body for automotive safety standards.

The Lamborghini Huracan is a magnificent car, but from a distance, with its softer curves compared to its elder sister, it can seem a bit tame. Another point to note: Lamborghini chose classic carbon rather than forged carbon, even though they emphasized the latter at the Huracan’s launch. We intend to change that with our new range of forged carbon fibre STO items.

The DMC carbon front hood adds the perfect finishing touch to the front of any car. The original Huracan STO has a rather discreet front, which does not do justice to a true Lamborghini Super Trofeo, as it is not on display. The DMC carbon creation offers a different look from the original and, thanks to its forged carbon manufacture, shows a more fierce appearance. It still keeps the general original style, without looking like a modified part.

We decided to close the hood vents for two reasons: this way, more air is directed to the side vents, ensuring more effective brake cooling on the track. Also, Huracan owners will appreciate the absence of water and dust infiltration into their trunk.

The carbon fibre hood is made from light and strong carbon fibre, produced by vacuum infusion, giving it great strength and a flawless finish. Once the piece is made and unmoulded, it is carefully checked and tested before being varnished. Each piece is then inspected and its tolerances checked before being polished by hand and machine, then waxed and protected with products high in carnauba wax.

Installation:

This is a replacement part. The original wings must be removed for installation, as they will be replaced by the DMC wings, which are vented. Although fitting is relatively simple, we always recommend using a skilled professional. We estimate the fitting time at about 180 minutes. You can paint the wings, which are delivered fully in visible carbon fibre, and keep the visible carbon look of the vents.

Gel Coat:

DMC products come with a free glossy or matte finish on all carbon fibre items. Please specify your choice when ordering. Otherwise, we will apply a glossy base coat. However, we recommend adding an extra layer to suit the UV resistance and weather conditions of your country, as these vary worldwide. We also advise applying additional wax and sealant, even though we already include a base layer of high-quality carnauba wax. This can offer extra protection in areas with high humidity or rainfall.
