Front hood in carbon fibre by DMC for original Lamborghini Huracan Coupé and Spyder
The iconic DMC front hood for the Huracan, STO style, is made of forged carbon fibre. DMC products are certified by TÜV, the German government-approved body for automotive safety standards.
The Lamborghini Huracan is a magnificent car, but from afar, with its softer curves than its elder sister, it can seem a bit tame. Another point to note: Lamborghini chose classic carbon rather than forged carbon, even though they emphasized the latter at the Huracan’s launch. We intend to change that with our new range of forged carbon fibre STO items.
The DMC carbon front hood adds the perfect finishing touch to the front of any car. The original Huracan STO has a rather discreet front, which does not do justice to a true Lamborghini Super Trofeo, as it is not on display. The DMC carbon creation offers a different look from the original and, thanks to its forged carbon manufacture, shows a more fierce appearance. It still keeps the original overall style, without giving the impression of being a modified part.
We decided to close the hood vents for two reasons: this way, more air is directed to the side vents, ensuring more effective brake cooling on the track. Also, Huracan owners will appreciate the absence of water and dust entering their trunk.
The carbon fibre hood is made from light and strong carbon fibre, produced by vacuum infusion, which gives it great strength and a flawless finish. Once the part is made and removed from the mould, it is carefully checked and tested before being varnished. Each piece is then inspected and its tolerances checked before being polished by hand and machine, then waxed and protected with products high in carnauba wax.
